The Discovery School is located on a wooded, peaceful, serene campus that provides an ideal mission-appropriate setting for delivering the school’s unique educational experience. Positioned between the Atlantic Ocean and San Pablo River, the campus boasts an abundance of mature Live Oaks, Water Oaks, Palms, Magnolias, and Saw Palmettos. Wildlife sightings include raccoons, possums, a variety of birds, including egrets, owls, and hawks. The classrooms are set up to maximize the learning environment. Students are provided ample opportunity to take full advantage of the outdoor learning spaces and teaching gardens. The adjacent property, owned by the school but not yet developed, gives students the ability to explore nature and learn about the environment, native plants, pollinators, birds, insects, snakes, and small mammals…all within the safety of school property. Discovery is proud to be a a Certified Butterfly Garden by the North American Butterfly Association.
To engender a critical sense of
community, Discovery is committed to a "campus-like" learning environment
where students will not only learn, but will be able to share their
education experiences with each other. Our "Village" is an
integrated dynamic community of students, families, teachers and friends
committed to the exceptional education of the mind, body, and heart.
